Ideas 11-20, practice improvement tips

Episode Notes

Ideas 11-20, actionable items to improve your practice today. Perry's off-the-cuff recommendations.

  1. Update your outside building signage. LED sign makes the difference. Old signs = old crappy business
  2. Fire your complaining staff member...they suck the energy out of everyone.
  3. Consult ABB Contact Lens Monitor publication to determine if your CL prices are too low.
  4. Clean your carpet at least bi-annually! Hire a pro.
  5. Outsource your insurance billing....for $40,000+ dollars a company can do it better and cheaper.
  6. Consider selling to private equity if your practice is $850,000 + in gross charges...don't be stupid, at least check the value before saying NO.
  7. Don't let a frame rep stuff you with frames. Be in control. You determine when they get an appointment and not based on the schedule they want.
  8. If you are a staff member and something bothers you, speak up. Nobody can read your mind, everybody just observes you are acting weird/pissed off.
  9. Iron your clothes, looks matter in sales.
  10. Invite your friends to this group so they can read the next 80 ideas I'll be delivering.
